Sponsor the treatment of mange. Many dogs in Chiang Mai are in need of simple treatment which consists of oral medicine on a regular basis for aproximately 2 months (depending on severity)

Each dog requires a daily amount of a medicine called Ivomec.

There are 2 types of Mange, Dermodectic and Sarcoptic. The latter is less prevalent but does exist. It requires a more intensive treatment plan, in that the medicin is injected subcataneously where as Dermodectic cases are fed the medication with food.

Daily application of this medication is simple if the dog is living at the shelter. Every day they are given special treatment... they get a little bit extra ! :)

The medication costs 350 Baht per bottle and we are able to treat at least 2-3 dogs for their entire course of treatment with one bottle.

*We also treat Mange cases at temples and at the side of the road. These we visit regularly but their recovery is not so fast but we are able to make an impact on their suffering. - Somethimes they move away and find new unknown territory and we cannot say whether they recovered or not.
